FAQ Connector with 20cm cable and plug for 230V COB LED strips 8mm PCB.
- Connector size: 20x11x9 mm
- Max. Strip LED width: 8 mm
- Compatible with led strips with up to 296 leds/m
- Wire length: 20 cm
- Wire gauge: 18 AWG
- Maximum voltage: 110-240V
- Maximum current: 3A
Use of the Connector:
- Insert the strip, cut to size, directly into the connector WITHOUT removing the protective silicone sheath; the connector is designed with a hollow slot suitable for accommodating the full thickness of the siliconed strip. Simply ensure that the copper pads are perfectly aligned with the metallic pins of the connector before proceeding.
- Firmly close the locking system, ensuring that you hear or feel the latch snap into place. The mechanical pressure must ensure that the pins penetrate the section of the strip and reach the pads, creating a stable connection free of any loose play that could cause dangerous electrical arcing on 220V lines.
- Before powering the line, apply an adequate amount of neutral silicone sealant not only between the connector and the strip, but also inside the internal cavities of the connector itself, in order to restore the IP65 protection rating and prevent any electrical leakage to the outside.
Safety note: Ensure that the silicone is completely dry and that there are no exposed conductors before connecting the plug to the mains power supply.
PLEASE NOTE: Please note that, despite following the above procedure, the watertight seal and the final IP protection rating depend exclusively on the correct manual execution by the installer; therefore, the company declines all liability for water ingress, damage, or accidents resulting from the assembly of this type of connector.
