Covers for profiles: which one should I choose?

Covers for aluminium profiles play a key role in the way in which the light is diffused in the environment and are available in different versions, each one with its own features. Just to make an example, the diffusers for PR-SL08 profile retain a different amount of light and can be as follows:
- Transparent, retains the 16% of light (Pic 1A)
- Semiopal, retains the 20% of light (Pic 1B)
- Opal, retains the 32% of light (Pic 1C)
- Frosted, retains the 39% of light (Pic 1D)
- White frosted, retains the 40% of light (Pic 1E)
- Black, retains the 84% of light (Pic 1F)

Although it may apparently seem the same, the opal diffuser is different from the frosted model for its shininess (pic 2). Moreover, when it comes to opal and frosted covers, it is possible to have a “dot free” effect only when high LED density strips are used.
